OLWO is a central production, trading and service company in the Swiss timber industry. OLWO’s marketing department manages more than 28,000 items and produces a price list in the form of a catalog of over 500 pages.
With Contentserv’s PIM solution, OLWO can automate the production of the catalog, communicate updates and price changes much faster in the market and promptly transfer all product data to other channels such as the flip catalog, the web store or the BIM platform buildup.
Before the introduction of the first PIM solution, the price list was compiled manually in a time-consuming process. It was only possible to react to changes, market volatility and adjustments by the manufacturers of third-party products once a year at most. After the end-of-life of the first two PIM solutions, the price list production process was finally migrated to Contentserv. The new PIM solution was to cover various requirements:
- Complete automation of the entire price list based on centrally maintained product information
- Automatic export to the webshop
- Connection to the Navision ERP system
- iPaper export to the daily generated flip page catalog with links to the web shop
- BIM export of all products to buildup
