Insights into strategy and best practices from Emmi, Saviva, Contentserv and aclevion.
On November 30, we invited to the KALTBACH cave together with Emmi Group and Contentserv to discuss the role of product data for digitalization during an exciting afternoon.
After a guided tour of the cheese cave and lunch together, there was a lot to learn – not only for our guests, but also for us. It is always exciting for us to meet the responsible persons in companies, to hear directly about their challenges and to discuss possible solutions with them.
After an introduction by Jürg Weber, CEO of aclevion, on the role of product data as a raw material for digitalization, Jürg Hofer, Teamleader IT Architecture at Emmi, gave an insight into Emmi’s strategy and best practices in digitalizing its communication. From a multitude of tools and interfaces, Emmi is moving towards a centralized control of product and communication data. A journey that is not only technical, but also a cultural change in the company, in which many different stakeholders need to be involved. And despite unforeseen developments, it is important never to lose sight of the goal.
And the excitement continued with Lena Steiner, CEO of Savia, who reported on their journey to a digital marketplace. The project of the digital marketplace has taken some changes at Saviva due to an eventful company history, but the experiences are amazingly similar to those made by Emmi. Today, Saviva has established a marketplace and faces the challenge of unifying and managing the product information of the different suppliers in a structured way. The journey is not over yet.
Finally, we learned from Kerstin Brandenburg, Senior Sales Manager at Contentserv, how digitization projects involving product data can best be implemented and what really matters in a Product Information Management (PIM) system.
We thank all guests for their participation and are already looking forward to the next personal meetings and discussions.
